Shallow..I was misled by dark shades in the river's dark appearance.
And even as my hand reached in it offered me no clearance..
The river flowed so gracefully that I couldn't resist its charm...
The curves,lining and infant waves denied the hint of harm....
So as my soul stripped garments off to sacrifice me bare.....
I realized during my rapid fall what has always been there......
This metaphoric river I use in place of you.......
That promised me such depth resulted so untrue........
Shallow as a damn puddle on a rainy day at noon.........
I hurt myself serverly diving into you so soon...........

Just ONE more night.If I had just one night/To have you within reach
To surround my reluctant soul/With the warmth I've beseeched
To run my fingers thoroughly/Through that silky hair I miss
Then brush them softly over the lips/I've craved so long to kiss
To interlock your sturdy legs/Around my knees and shins
